Recent California legislation and guidance from the U.S. Department of
Education have highlighted the need for schools to identify and provide
intervention for students with dyslexia. The primary objective of this workshop is to provide participants with
essential information regarding dyslexia: possible causes, impact on
reading, early markers, evaluation for special education and
intervention, and strategies for intervention. It is expected that as a
result of attending this workshop, participants will gain both knowledge
and skills in understanding, assessing and addressing the needs of
students with dyslexia.
